Man Killed In West Windsor Car Crash, Sunday Evening

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — A Trenton resident was killed in a car crash in West Windsor on Sunday evening, the West Windsor Police Department said.

The identity of the 29-year-old is currently being withheld.

According to the police, on Sunday at 8:37 pm, the man driving a gray Nissan Maxima was traveling north on Clarksville Road approaching the curve at the Meadow Road intersection.

He crossed over the double yellow line and side-swiped a red Ford Escape that was traveling south on Clarksville Road, police said.

The driver of the Ford, a resident of Holland, PA pulled over after her vehicle was struck, said police.

After striking the Ford, the Nissan continued north on Clarksville Road with both the front and rear driver side tires over the double yellow line and at the intersection with Meadow Road, collided head-on with a white Chevrolet traveling south, police said.

According to police the driver of the Nissan was traveling at high speed and was unable to negotiate the curve on Clarksville Road which caused the car to strike both vehicles.

He was taken to an area hospital where he was declared dead at 9:23 pm, police said.

Four occupants of the Chevrolet were also taken to the hospital with numerous non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford sustained no injuries, said police.
