Production to pause Saturday at Windsor Assembly


Hourly employees at Stellantis’ Windsor Assembly Plant will be asked to stay home next week.

According to a tweet Thursday night from Unifor Local 444, which represents plant employees, Stellantis has canceled scheduled production set for Saturday, and the plant will be idle all next week.

The Company has informed the Union that the Windsor Assembly Plant will not be running production this Saturday.

Workers are being asked to get further instructions from their supervisors.

“Stellantis continues to work closely with our suppliers to mitigate the manufacturing impacts caused by the various supply chain issues facing our industry,” said Head of Communications LouAnn Gosselin. “As the situation continues to be very fluid, we are making production adjustments as necessary to minimize additional production impact.”
