Windsor Police, Optimist Club to host bike night at Boardwalk Park – Greeley Tribune

The Windsor Police Department and the Optimist Club of Windsor are hosting a bike night later this month.

The event is set for 6-8 pm Thursday, May 26 at Boardwalk Park, in the Windsor Lake parking lot off of Birch Street. The parking lot will close for the event starting at 3 pm

This event focuses on bike safety, mainly for children. They will have safety stations, a bike obstacle course for kids and fun giveaways.

All events will be first come, first served. The Police Department and Optimist Club hold this event at the start of summer every year to teach kids the safest ways to ride a bike.

“We see more bicycle-related accidents during the summer,” Windsor Police Officer Andrew Stanger said in a news release. “Our goal with this event is to educate families at the start of the season in a way that’s fun for the entire family.”
