Windsor police seek help in identifying robbery suspect (VIDEO)

A suspect is being sought in connection with a robbery at a Windsor store earlier this month.

The incident happened on Sunday, October 16, at around 7:30 pm, when a suspect was seen stealing items from a store in the Dougall Square area. When the woman was confronted by a loss prevention officer, the suspect threatened the employee with a scissors, then ran from the store. She was last seen walking north on Dougall Avenue.

The suspect is described as a White female, 30 to 35 years old, 5′ 5″, with a muscular build. She was wearing a black t-shirt, camouflage tights, a face mask, and a long, bright blue wig.

While fleeing from the scene, police said the suspect removed the wig and is described further as having medium-length brown hair.

Police have released the surveillance footage from the store because the woman has a distinctive walk. The public is asked to take a look.

If you recognize the suspect or have any information about the incident, call the Windsor police’s Major Crime Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.
