Windsor police: Traffic stop led to drugs with $159,000 street value

Windsor police are estimating the street value of drugs seized in a “routine traffic stop” on Monday at $159,000.

The arrest happened at the 800 block of Wyandotte Street East around 2:30 am

According to police, officers suspected the driver — a 29-year-old Windsor woman — of having suspended licence.
During the stop, the driver was found to be in possession of crystal methamphetamine.
Further search of the vehicle revealed 475 grams of fentanyl in powder form, 104 oxycodone pills, 800 counterfeit oxycodone pills, and 161 grams of cocaine.
Also found were a Taser weapon, a safe, and about $1,300 in cash.
The suspect is being charged with two counts of possession of drugs, five counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
